CAKE BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Booking a cake with Mocha means that you as our customer accept the terms and conditions outlined below. By paying the deposit you automatically accept the terms & conditions of our services. 

** Terms & Conditions**

By placing an order with Mocha you, as our customer are acknowledging & accepting all of the terms outlined in this statement. If the customer declines any of the terms then the order is not to be placed. If the customer decides after booking to decline the terms & conditions then the order will be cancelled with immediate effect loosing any money paid towards the order. To ensure all customers are made aware of the terms & conditions there will be an automatic message sent prior to booking stating to read the t&c's before confirming an order.

Securing your Booking and Deposits

To secure your order a 25% deposit is taken. Deposits are non refundable and are required in order to secure the date for your cake. Mocha works on a first come first served basis. No date is secured until the deposit has been received. Should you later cancel the order this deposit is lost.

Upon booking we will discuss design, flavours and all details of your cake with you, all of which will be written on an order form for future reference. Designs and flavours may be changed and altered up to two week before the order is required as we realise that people are fickle and tastes change. However please note that with a change of design or ingredients the final price may alter from the original quote. Any alterations/changes will be confirmed in writing and by accepting any changes you as the customer accept any cost differences.

Collection and/or Delivery

Delivery or collection of your cake will be discussed and organised at time of booking. Cakes can be collected from Mocha during our regular opening hours - Monday to Saturday 9am-3pm. If you require us to deliver your cake to you or an allocated venue we can do so at a cost of 50p per mile for the round trip from Mocha. Please note - This is for standard pre-completed cakes - if you have a cake that requires assembly/decorating at a venue we charge a £25 set up fee on top of the mileage. All deliveries must be arranged and the cake & delivery fee paid, in full, at least a week prior to the completion date

Collection

By leaving the property and accepting the product the customer accepts the products design is acceptable and to the agreed design discussed at the time of ordering, therefore no complaint on design shall be made at a later date. 
Any damage, contamination or loss of product after collection/delivery is the responsibility of the customer.

Upon collection we will require the collector to sign paperwork stating the above. 

Delivery

If the item has been delivered to a venue then the venue staff are to sign for the item to confirm the product is suitable with no damage present. Mocha cannot be held responsible for contamination or damage once its passed over.


Issues occurring after collection/delivery

If any problems should occur with the product, 75% of the order will be returned to the creator within 24 hours to decide further action. This process may include consulting other legally registered bakers in the local area of the creators choice in person, also by social media with a large worldwide group of bakers, to get the best and fairest opinion on the matter. 
No refunds are given however a free product or discount to the customers next order may be applied. This decision is down to the suppliers discression. If the product is damaged in the care of the customer please contact Mocha for further advice as it may be possible to repair the damage.
Any repairs needed due to damage caused will be charged at a per hour rate of £15 on top of ingredients costs.


Storage
The products should be stored in a COOL location out of direct sunlight when storing to prevent sweating, melting and damage, including the cake drying out. Please keep all sugarpaste'fondant covered products out of the fridge as this causes the sugar paste to sweat & colours run. 

Allergens

Any food allergies that need to be catered to must be stated at the time of booking. It will be stated at the time to the customer that whilst we do our best to cater to specific allergies we do operate from a single kitchen in which some allergens are present. Whilst we maintain strict and thorough cleaning schedules we cannot guarantee that traces of nuts, cereals containing gluten, eggs, milk, lupin and dairy are 100% eradicated and so all products we produce may include traces of the above. By confirming your booking and paying a deposit you, as the customer, accept that traces may be present. With all orders Mocha will provide an list detailing allergens used and traces that may be present.


Payments & Cancellations

As stated above on booking a non-refundable deposit is taken to secure your date, this deposit is calculated at 25% of your total order cost.

If your cake is being delivered full payment is required a week before the delivery date, if it is being collected the outstanding balance can be paid on collection. No cake will leave Mocha's premises without the full price being paid. 

You are welcome to pay for your order in part/full or via a payment plan which can be arranged on ordering. If the product is cancelled anywhere up to two weeks before the order is required we will refund all pre-payments with the exception of the non-refundable deposit. If it is cancelled within two weeks of requirement we will refund 50% of any payments over the deposit amount.
